Civic Type R fans, this one’s for you!
We’ve got our hands on every generation of Civic Type R, and they’re about to face off over the quarter mile to see just how much the Type R has evolved since 2001!
Now of course, it should come as no surprise that the older editions come at a disadvantage when it comes to power output. If you take a look at the original EP3, it comes with a 2-litre naturally-aspirated engine (with VTEC!) that can produce 200hp and 196Nm of torque. In comparison, the all-new FL5 comes with a 2-litre turbo petrol engine that can produce 320hp and 420Nm!
But of course, don’t forget that they’re all on a level playing field in that they’re all FWD, and they’re all manuals! The question is, will the new FL5 prove to be worth its eye-watering £47,000 price tag?

It’s time for an incredible petrol vs electric drag race!
The Lamborghini Revuelto is back, and it’s going head-to-head against the almighty Tesla Model S Plaid! So let’s see how these two incredible machines compare.
Starting with the Lambo, it’s powered by a 6.5-litre naturally-aspirated V12 along with THREE electric motors! These combine to produce 1,015hp and 1,076Nm of torque. Power is sent to all four wheels via an 8-speed dual-clutch gearbox, and it weighs in at 1,772kg. If you’re looking to pick one up, it’ll cost you at least £447,000!
Then alongside it we have the Tesla. It’s powered by three electric motors, and these combine to produce 1,020hp and 1,420Nm of torque. It’s also well up on weight compared to the Revuelto, tipping the scales at 2,539kg! It’s a whole lot cheaper, mind, costing around £115,000.
So they’re almost neck-and-neck when it comes to power, but will the extra weight bring the Tesla down? Or will the instant power release propel it to victory? There’s only one way to find out… LET’S RACE!

It’s time for an all-American showdown!
We’ve got our hands on the Mk2 Dodge Viper GTS, and it’s going up against a Dodge Challenger! The question is, will it be a walkover for the newer Dodge? Let’s take a closer look…
Starting with the Viper, it’s powered by an 8-litre naturally-aspirated V10 that can deliver 456hp and 664Nm of torque. This power is sent to the rear wheels only via a 6-speed manual gearbox, and the car weighs in at just 1,595kg. When new in 1998 it cost around £69,000, but as of today it’s valued at around £78,000.
Alongside it we have the Challenger RT Scatpack. It’s powered by a 6.4-litre V8 that can produce 492hp and 644Nm. This power is sent to the rear wheels via an 8-speed auto, and it tips the scales at 1,957kg. As new it costs around $49,000, but if you’re looking to pick one up in the UK, it’ll set you back around £65,000!
So the Challenger is newer and more powerful, but will the weight difference prove decisive? There’s only one way to find out for sure… LET’S RACE!

Well, we’re about to find out as they face off over the quarter mile!
So let’s check out the stats. Starting with the new Range Rover Sport SV, it’s powered by a BMW 4.4-litre twin-turbo V8 engine (the same engine from the M5 CS, no less!) that can produce 635hp and 750Nm. It sends this power to all four wheels via an 8-speed automatic gearbox, and it weighs in at 2,500kg. If you want to pick one up today, it’ll cost you around £165,000.
Alongside it, we have the SVR. It’s packing a 5-litre supercharged V8 under the bonnet which can produce 575hp and 700Nm. It’s also equipped with an 8-speed automatic gearbox and four-wheel drive, but it’s a bit lighter than the SV, tipping the scales at 2,310kg. When new, the SVR would set you back around £100,000.
