Anamorphic lens autofocus range test (Isco Wide-Screen 2000 & Sony A7III)
First of all! I'm working on a complete guide for working with real anamorphic lens adapters like this without having to spend a fortune buying cinema lenses, to be the first to find out more please head to my guide on Thinkific:

Thank you!
This video is to test the focus range one of my anamorphic lens adapters, the Isco Wide-Screen 2000. The Isco lens is what's called a "fixed focus" anamorphic adapter, so it has a fixed focus range and all the focusing is done with the taking lens. For this test I used my Sony A7III set to face tracking autofocus using the Sony 55mm f1.8 Sonnar FE as my taking lens. You can see the focus range of the Isco by looking at when her face first comes into focus as I walk towards her and when it loses focus of her face as I get too close. All tests were shot wide open at f1.8.
I then try the same thing with a +0.5 diopter and a +1 diopter. As you can see, not surprisingly, the diopters move the focus range of the anamorphic lens closer but also makes it a lot shallower.
Full camera setup for this test:
