Clip content: U Minh Thuong National Park is in the process of conserving and restoring natural resources in wetlands, ensuring the natural integrity of the ecosystem, diversity and its outstanding values. In 2012, U Minh Thuong National Park was recognized as the first ASEAN Heritage Park on wetland of Southeast Asia and the fifth National Park of Vietnam to be recognized as a Heritage Park of theASEAN.
In 2015, U Minh Thuong National Park was recognized as the second 2,228 Ramsar site in the world and the 8th in Vietnam. With achievements and success in preserving and improving the "green" values of U Minh Thuong National Park, it has achieved 5 out of 9 criteria of the Ramsar Convention - an international commitment made, to conserve and use mangroves most effectively with the purpose of preventing encroachment into mangrove areas as well as their loss now and in the future.
Hoa Mai lake, a swamp flush in the form of a flower with five petals, its surface is covered with beautiful ferns like a carpet stretching out. It is also the tourist center of the U Minh Thuong National Park.
